The Opportunity
Are you passionate about empowering students to thrive in their academic journey and beyond? We’re looking for two dedicated Student Success Coaches to guide diverse cohorts of students throughout their journey at The College.
In this role, provide tailored one-on-one and group coaching that blends pastoral care, academic support, and career guidance, helping students navigate challenges and celebrate achievements. You’ll play a pivotal role in monitoring student progress and identifying opportunities to improve retention and success. As a key contributor to our Student Success Framework, you’ll help shape and implement strategies that foster a strong sense of belonging and inclusion across campus. Your work will involve close collaboration with academic and professional staff to resolve complex student issues, advocate for student needs, and embed the coaching model into the curriculum.
We have two positions available as follows:
- Full-Time, Ongoing position based at Parramatta City campus
- Full-Time, Fixed-Term position until 3 August 2026 based at Campbelltown campus
Please note these roles are not available in a fully remote format and travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About you
With a relevant undergraduate qualification, or an equivalent blend of education and experience you understand the power of coaching and mentoring to support student engagement and wellbeing. You’re confident applying student engagement and career development theories in a tertiary setting, and you bring a deep awareness of the challenges faced by students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. You bring a thoughtful, solution-oriented mindset to your work, with the ability to assess complex situations and deliver practical, student-focused outcomes. Your communication style is clear and compassionate, and you know how to build strong relationships, manage sensitive information, and resolve conflict with professionalism and care.

Remuneration package: Professional Staff Level 6 $104,055 p.a. (comprising Salary of $91,536 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
