About the role
Join an innovative, cross-agency project working to improve stream health and water sustainability in the Monbulk Creek catchment. As the Smart Water Network Officer, you'll lead the technical delivery of smart tank installations, oversee contractors, and refine processes that support effective engagement, procurement, and monitoring. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on flood resilience, urban water use, and environmental outcomes.
This is a 12-month temporary full-time position (grant funded) (76 hours per week).
This is a Band 6 role with a salary range between $95,565 and $104,167 per annum, plus superannuation.
Support work-life balance with a fortnightly or monthly rostered day off and hybrid working arrangements.
Experience and skills we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple project stages and meet deadlines.
Understanding of Integrated Water Management principles, and their implementation.
Skilled in process improvement, with a track record of optimising workflows for procurement, stakeholder engagement, and project monitoring.
Ability to build trust and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in data collection, reporting, and documentation, including financial tracking, asset management and spatial tools (e.g. GIS).
Commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, with demonstrated application of OHS principles during project delivery.
