About us
Corrections Victoria's purpose is to deliver an effective corrections system for a safe community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
About the role
The Parole Officer will contribute to an integrated transition process from imprisonment into the community, with an overarching consideration for community safety. This will be done through performing Parole Suitability Assessments for prisoners who have applied for parole, supervising and monitoring complex and high-profile prisoners who have been released on parole by the Adult Parole Board (APB), and applying case management principles to reduce reoffending.
This also includes identifying risk escalation behaviours and responding appropriately in consultation with managerial staff, interviewing and assessing prisoners on parole to produce quality reports to the APB, and assessing and referring prisoners on parole to appropriate programs and specialised services.
Through this you will ensure that your case management practices align with best practice principles and the Correctional Practice Framework.
It is expected Parole Officers work in the office at least 3 days a week to meet operational demands.
