About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Leader to join our dedicated team at Bamagau Kazil Torres Strait Islanders Corporation in Bamaga, Queensland. As a fulltime Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a group of children in our early childhood education and care centre, ensuring they receive high-quality care and learning experiences.

What you'll be doing

Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate educational and recreational programs for a group of children

Supervise and mentor a team of Educators to deliver engaging and enriching activities

Ensure a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment for children

Build positive relationships with children, families and the broader community

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service

What we're looking for

Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent ACECQA approved ECEC Diploma Qualification

Minimum 2 years' experience in a long day care or outside school hours care setting

Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and ability to implement best practice

Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to guide and support Educators

Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and education to young children
