Are you passionate about creating a nurturing environment for children to explore, learn, and grow?
We are seeking a Diploma qualified educator or experienced Group Leader for a Group Leader role within our Star of the Sea Long day care & Kindergarten.
We are looking for someone who can lead and work collaboratively with their assistant educator in preparing programs for the children based on their interests and needs. If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply.
Our Centre
Conveniently situated within the grounds of Star of the Sea Primary School, our service has been serving the community for more than a decade. Catering to a maximum of 75 children aged from 6 weeks to the year before prep, we offer comprehensive care and support.
Hours: Part-time hours, 24 hours per week with opportunity to grow as per requirements of the LDC & Kindy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a high quality, inclusive, educational program
- Support children to grow and develop and are committed to seeing them learn and have fun in a happy, safe and nurturing environment.
- Participate in professional and personal development.
- Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare’s expectations and educational philosophy.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma qualification recognised by ACECQA, or Working Towards
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework & the National Quality Standard
- Effective workplace communication skills
