Assistant Centre Director - This role suits strong Assistant Director wanting to work off the floor

SH Recruitment is working exclusively with one of Australia’s leading childcare organisations, who require an experienced, progressive and forward-thinking Assistant Centre Director for its high-performing service.

This role would suit an Assistant Centre Director who has worked in a small to medium size service or an experienced 2IC / Assistant Director.

This position is:

Would suit an up-and-coming 2IC / Assistant Director wanting to work off the floor

The centre itself has a low turnover of staff, a healthy and engaging working environment where wellbeing, fun, support, and mentoring is encouraged.

Interviews will be taking place throughout June 2025, with a start date ASAP.

Suitable applicants must have:

Diploma early childhood qualification

Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification

WWCC and or Victorian Institute of Teaching card.

Right to work in Australia

A minimum of 1-2 years Assistant Centre Director experience

You will also be required to:

Report directly to your Centre Manager and attend regular monthly meetings.

Essential skills and competencies

Experience and knowledge of early childhood development and education.

Effective time management skills

An ability to communicate effectively with the Senior Management, parents, other staff and professionals.

Ability to work in a cooperative, flexible, and professional manner with children, parents, staff and Senior Management.

Strong leadership and self-motivation skills
