Are you ready for a step up in your career? We are looking for an experienced Centre Director to cover Mat leave until July 2026.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and motivated person to lead a centre in the inner-west suburbs of Sydney. The centre is licenced for 163 children and will require a driven Director who loves a challenge, has strong people skills and who can manage and lead by example.

Don't worry if you do not have all the necessary experience, the Managing Director will be there to give you plenty of support and training to help you become independent and work autonomously in the role.

Position Available: Immediate start

Centre Director:

We are looking for an experienced Diploma or ECT Director.

This role is a leadership role where you will be engaging with children on a day to day basis but working off the floor, as well as leading and managing a team of educators all whilst building and maintaining strong positive relationships with children, their families and the local community.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Oversee the daily operations of the centre.

Oversee quality programs using your knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) along with Educational Leader.

Ensure the centre is consistently well presented and offers a safe and welcoming environment.

Collaborate and support the ongoing development of each team member.

Maintain and manage resources across the centre.

Ensure all health & safety benchmarks are maintained at the highest level.

Initiate and participate in key events, centre tours and social events.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Ideally have at least 3 years previous experience as Centre Director

The drive for high quality education and care

An ACECQA recognised qualification Early Childhood Teachers Degree, or be Diploma qualified.

Current First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications

A current Working with Children Check and Child Protection Certificate

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Demonstrated leadership experience and skills

To be a confident leader who can drive cultural change and develop a high performing team

Have a caring disposition and a positive attitude

Have an ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff members

Possess a passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine love of working with children.

Highly desirable: sound understanding of CCS and Smart Central / Kindyhub Software however training can be provided.
