Our Client, an established federal government department with offices in all states (ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA) requires 8 x Senior Business Analysts to join their organisation, focusing on uplifting the Agency's technology capabilities, including projects that cover the adoption of new tools and platforms to enhance operational efficiency for the Agency.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Work closely with program, business and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritise and continuously manage requirements that translate identified needs into outcomes which align with the Agency’s architectural principles and strategies;
• Examine and organise requirements to record dependencies, relationships and identify logical sequences.
• Synthesise business and technical requirements/concepts and present them in simple terms;
• Study the system being implemented to become a subject matter expert on the system functionality. This may be via a combination of researching system documentation and videos, experimenting and discovering in a non-production environment, and interviews with technical experts from the vendor or technical teams.
• As a senior member of the team, possess the ability to work independently with limited supervision;
  Contribute to the Business Analyst Community of Practice to continuously improve work practices;
• Manage confidential and sensitive information;
• Foster a positive culture within the team aligned with Agency values.

Essential criteria

• Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years, working in a similar role performing business analysis activities including workshop facilitation, supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change;
• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing multiple business stakeholders, establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders, and effectively liaise and keep stakeholders informed and engaged, both verbally and in writing;
• Experience in one of the following areas: mobile applications and or web application development, SAS tools or data platforms;
• Experience working in Government or providing services to Government agency;
• Experience with Salesforce platforms.
