The Opportunity:

Our client is an Australian owned and operated business within civil construction and complex concreate works across Australia.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with experience across large scale civil construction projects in mining & resources and the renewable energy industries.

The position:

The Project Manager will oversee a large-scale concrete and civil construction project in NSW worth over a billion Australian dollars. You will have experience with underground construction projects as well as above ground works, managing large team's 100+ permanent and contract staff.
Manage projects budgets & costings, support the construction manager, supervisors and civil engineers' and civil operators to deliver project deadlines for the client. Liaise with key stakeholders across the business and manage client and business expectations.

The Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management
• Extensive PM experience on schedule driven projects within civil concrete works both above ground and underground, project values from $1 Billion +
• Exposure to Tier 1 client projects across Mining & Resources, Roads and Energy
• Take early action to ensure project costs and timelines remain as per schedule
• Experience in managing subcontractors & liaising with the clients onsite and at internal project meetings
• A pro-active, can-do attitude and the ability to hit the ground running is essential for this role
• Be able to communicate at senior levels, budget, plan and keep senior management across project issues, delays or other liabilities
• Able to adapt to changing project conditions and demonstrate resilience under pressure, especially in fast-paced or high-risk environments
