Are you a finance whiz who’s also passionate about making a real difference? At RSPCA South Australia, we’re on the lookout for a Finance Officer who’s equal parts detail-obsessed and mission-driven — someone who’s ready to help us keep the numbers on track while we focus on protecting animals across the state.

In this role, you won’t just be crunching numbers — you’ll be contributing to life-changing animal welfare work and supporting teams who are out there making the world a kinder place for all creatures, great and small.

What You'll Be Doing 🧾🐶

Entering, reconciling, and keeping a sharp eye on accounts payable/receivable, credit cards, and bank accounts.

Making sure we meet BAS requirements without breaking a sweat.

Coordinating insurance claims and managing bequests — you’ll even get to liaise with legal practitioners and prepare reports for our Board (yes, you’ll be a big deal).

Providing business units with timely, accurate financial info to help them hit their goals.

Investigating and resolving financial mysteries (think of yourself as our very own spreadsheet detective).

You’re Our Kind of Person If You… ✅

Have 3+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.

Understand South Australian legislation (Long Service Leave, Workers Comp, Super, Tax – the usual suspects).

Are a whiz with Excel and love making numbers behave.

Spot errors before anyone else and fix them like a pro.

Communicate clearly, collaborate easily, and can juggle tasks without breaking a sweat.

Bonus Points For:

A qualification in finance, commerce, or accounting.

Experience working in the not-for-profit space.
