About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Research Coordinator to support translational research in regenerative dentistry and maxillofacial reconstruction. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the design and manufacture of 3D printed patient-specific scaffolds used in clinical trials. Working within a Quality Management System (QMS), you will contribute to scaffold fabrication, data analysis, and clinical documentation to support device testing and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, fabricate, and optimise 3D printed and MEW scaffolds for clinical applications
  • Assist in scaffold manufacture under QMS practices, including record-keeping aligned with ISO 13485 and 9001
  • Assist with patient-specific design workflows and 3D modelling
  • Perform micro-CT analysis to assess scaffold geometry and bone regeneration
  • Contribute to technical reports, regulatory submissions, and scientific publications

About You
  • Completion of a relevant degree in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline with subsequent experience in coordinating activities or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 3D printing and additive manufacturing, with a focus on scaffold design, fabrication, and optimization.
  • Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS), including familiarity with ISO 13485 and 9001 standards.
  • Foundational knowledge in histological techniques and micro-CT analysis.
  • Proficiency in 3D modelling and file preparation for printing (e.g., STL, segmentation, or CAD-based tools).
  • Previous experience supporting clinical or pre-clinical research activities, especially for implantable devices or patient-matched solutions.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate technical documentation, protocols, and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with engineers, clinicians, and researchers to support cross-functional clinical research goals.
  • A proactive approach to continuous learning, with awareness of advancements in tissue engineering.
