We’re seeking a dedicated Production Operations Supervisor who brings strong leadership, an eye for efficiency, and a knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Position Summary

The Production Operations Supervisor will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. This is a hands on role that requires leadership and the ability to coach a small team through Lean practices to reduce waste, optimize workflows, and support a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various manufacturing equipment including an icing machine, biscuit roller and packing machine.

• Supervise, train, and mentor production line staff to meet daily production goals.

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g. HACCP).

• Apply and promote Lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work).

• Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.

• Drive a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

• Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues promptly.

• Foster a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a related industry.

• Strong understanding and application of Lean manufacturing principles.

• Baking and/or food production experience.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.

• Working knowledge of food safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
