About the McGovern Foundation

The McGovern Foundation is dedicated to breaking down barriers that prevent individuals from obtaining and maintaining their driver’s licence. Through our targeted Wanderer Driver Mentor Program, we provide tailored mentoring, practical support, and essential resources to help participants complete the required 50 hours of supervised driving—empowering those who would otherwise miss out on opportunities for education, training, employment, and community participation.

Our Mission

Provide mentoring and supervised driving to people that do not have the means to obtain a driver’s licence. This in turn removes barriers, which provides opportunities for education, training, employment, and social participation.

The Role

The Administration Officer will be working within a small team to provide a professional, efficient, and effective administration service to our external and internal stakeholders. We are seeking applicants with strong time management, interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for making a difference. To be successful, you will need a solution-focused, positive attitude, and a motivated self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and as part of an extended team.

Selection Criteria

Extensive experience (5+ years) in an Administrative position.

Experience with Office 365 - Word and Excel.

Strong knowledge, understanding, and engagement experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, and other vulnerable community members.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced position, requiring exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Must thrive in a process-driven role, with excellent attention to detail.

Extensive data entry and CRM management experience.

Demonstrates reliability, a proactive can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative approach as a valued team member.
