About the Role
We’re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner who knows how to get things done and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll be working with site leaders and frontline managers in this fast-paced FMCG organisation to make sure that people practices support a safe, positive and productive workplace. From helping managers with tricky staff issues to driving training and performance conversations, you’ll be the go-to person for all things HR.
This newly established BP role is a mix of strategy and hands-on support. One day you might be coaching a leader through a performance issue, the next you're planning ahead for the workforce that will be needed in 12 months’ time.
Your day-to-day could include:
- Contribute to strategic initiatives in the areas of workforce planning, talent development and recruitment that drive operational performance and growth;
- Provide coaching and support to leaders on people related matters including performance, engagement and development;
- Help managers sort out workplace issues quickly and fairly, keeping things low-risk and in line with company values;
- Take the lead on future enterprise bargaining activities, working with leaders and legal teams to get the best outcomes for everyone;
- Stay ahead of ER/IR risks by keeping policies up to date and training leaders and teams on their legislative rights and responsibilities; and
- Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and WH&S to ensure line managers are provided with end-to-end HR support.
About You
We’re after someone who knows HR inside and out—but more importantly, knows how to work with people at all levels. You don’t need to come from a corporate background, but you do need to be confident, fair, and know how to handle sensitive matters with care.
You’ll bring:
- Ideally you will have some experience working at a BP level, or this could also be suited to a confident HR Advisor looking to take the next step in their career;
- A thorough understanding of ER/IR, Award interpretation, and the Fair Work Act;
- A background supporting a blue-collar workforce (manufacturing, logistics or similar) would be favourable, though not essential;
- Strong capabilities in engaging and influencing – this role requires someone who can coach leaders through transformational change and performance issues; and
- A team-first mindset and the ability to build trust on the floor and in the office.
A degree in HR or similar is great, but we’re just as interested in real-world experience and a solid track record.
Benefits and Culture
- Newly established position – opportunity to truly add value to the business as you make this role your own;
- Well-known, respected brand with a strong national presence;
- Contribute to an exciting change project focused on HR transformation;
- Diverse and challenging role where your initiative and new ideas will be celebrated; and
- Based full-time in Wacol with plenty of onsite parking.
