As a lead receptionist, you are pivotal in the practice in:

▪ Running clinics for 5 surgeons

▪ Processing outpatient billing

▪ Coordinating ad-hoc theatre lists

▪ Booking patients for surgery

▪ Preparation of pre-surgery documents

▪ Taking phone calls for the practice

▪ Liaising with multiple hospital theatre booking teams

▪ Working with a vibrant fun group of surgeons and other team-members

We are looking for a senior role. This role is fast-paced, broad-ranging and highly rewarding. You will report to the clinic co-ordinator every month and be expected to manage:

Booking (acute and elective surgery)

Fees (taking payment from patients)

Note: some experience with Medicare and private health funds / Queensland Worksafe is needed.

You are expected to demonstrate the following attributes:

Communication. A natural and effective communicator with decision-making capability and compassionate to patients needs.

Management. A sound record of working in day-to-day business operations alongside staff, nurses, front desk team and surgeons.

Hands-on. We believe in team spirit and embrace a “can-do” mindset. Therefore, it is important that you are willing to roll up your sleeves when need be.

Genie Experience. Previous experience with Genie software will be highly regarded.
