Gasworks Medical Practice is seeking a vibrant, capable, and collaborative 2IC / Medical Receptionist to support the daily operations of our friendly and professional team.

This is a full-time role available for an immediate start, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

A friendly and empathetic personality with strong communication and customer service skills

Exceptional organisational and time management abilities

Proven experience in a medical reception or similar healthcare admin role

Ability to lead and support a team, delegate tasks, and offer mentorship when needed

Confidence in making decisions and solving problems in collaboration with management

Professionalism, discretion, and a solid understanding of confidentiality in a clinical setting

A strong, reliable work ethic and a commitment to excellent patient care

Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical receptionist position

Desirable Attributes

Previous leadership or 2IC experience in a medical practice setting

Working knowledge of Best Practice

Well-developed understanding of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and private billing

CPR certificate

Triaging experience

Familiarity working with diverse communities such as adolescents, aged care, LGBTQ+, migrants/refugees, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander patients

Basic proficiency with MS Word and Excel
