Iondrive (ASX: ION) - Driving Sustainable Energy Solutions Through Advanced Battery Recycling

Iondrive Limited is an ASX listed company, ticker code ION. We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our small team focussed on commercialising our unique environmentally sustainable technology for the recovery of critical metals, including the recycling of end-of-life Lithium-ion batteries. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a 0.5 to 0.6 FTE role and can be structured to suit your preference for a part time permanent or hourly rate contract engagement. The role offers flexible working hours, including the ability to divide your work between home and the city-based office.

Key Responsibilities:

You play a lead role in preparing the monthly financial statements and cash flow forecasts for reporting to the Board, including variance analysis and drafting a higher-level Board summary.

Assisting with proactively managing expenditure, through liaising directly with management in the preparation of annual budgets and accurate monthly cash flow forecasts for the Board.

Preparation of the consolidated annual financial report and half year report, including assisting with drafting note disclosures.

Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards (AASB) and coordinate annual audit processes.

Identify and mitigate audit risks by improving processes and driving the implementation of financial best practices.

Preparation of quarterly consolidated cashflow calculations and reporting for the ASX, including analysis against underlying run rate of expenditure.

Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure Australian tax compliance (GST, PAYG, Annual Tax returns, R&D Tax Incentive).

Oversee the Finance and Administration Officer, covering all aspects of accounts payable, GST reporting, payroll processing, superannuation and general ledger management.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

Qualifications as a CPA or Chartered Accountant.

A depth of experience preparing full consolidated financial reports for public companies, including ensuring compliance with accounting standards (AASB) and co-ordinating with auditors.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft written reports appropriate for Board level and note disclosures in external financial reports.

Ability to manage priorities and a high level of organisation and administration skills.

Working experience of general ledger systems (MYOB, Xero, or similar).

An understanding of Australian tax compliance (GST, PAYG, FBT) and regulatory requirements.

The ability to build direct relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to work independently.

What We Offer:

An attractive salary package that will reflect your experience, with an indicative range of between $120,000 and $160,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation (permanent full time equivalent).
