The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, CEO and working closely with the family shareholders and external advisors. As the Group Financial Accounting & Compliance Manager, you will have oversight of a small, dedicated finance team, managing the financial affairs of the family group.
This is a hands-on role providing accounting and financial support to the CFO, to properly administer the financial, accounting, taxation and compliance activities of a diverse group structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end financial management, reporting, and compliance for multiple group entities
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, tax lodgements, and regulatory reporting (GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Land Tax, Income Tax, etc.)
- Maintain and ensure integrity of the ERP system (NetSuite) and general ledger
- Lead the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and financial consolidations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly board reports and management packs
- Oversee AP/AR, payments, insurance, and company secretarial duties
- Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and consultants
- Support ad hoc projects and strategic financial initiatives as set out by the CFO/CEO
About You
- CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years of experience in financial accounting
- Solid technical knowledge, particularly around multi-entity consolidations and Australian tax compliance
- Experience in the property, construction, or related sectors is highly desirable
- Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative, proactive approach
- Comfortable being hands-on, executing tasks and day-to-day finance operations
- An excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
