We’re now looking for a Finance Officer who’s more than just task-oriented – someone who brings initiative, accuracy, and a strategic mindset. This is a pivotal role that will support our growth through financial clarity, cross-border collaboration, and ongoing process refinement.

What We’re Looking For

You’re not just here to tick boxes. You’re detail-obsessed, proactive, and comfortable juggling local financial responsibilities with international coordination. You’ll work closely with our external accountants, both in Australia and overseas, to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all financial operations.

We’ve moved past the phase of micro-managing finance assistants. We need a trusted partner who can think independently, raise flags early, and implement improvements without waiting to be told.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing

Reconcile bank accounts and oversee employee reimbursements and expense management

Prepare and lodge monthly IAS and quarterly BAS with the ATO

Coordinate with accountants and legal advisors across jurisdictions (e.g., Australia, Singapore, Dubai, Cyprus)

Maintain up-to-date financial records for multiple entities using Xero and other tools

Oversee payroll processes and contractor payments via platforms like Deel and Airwallex

Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and report on financial health

Ensure tax and regulatory compliance in coordination with external partners

Proactively suggest and implement finance process improvements

Assist in preparing financial reports for management to support business decisions

What You’ll Bring

3–5+ years of finance experience, ideally in a scaling or multi-entity business

Expert in Xero and comfortable with modern fintech platforms (e.g., Deel, Airwallex)

Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Experience working with international finance teams and understanding multi-currency, cross-border compliance

Self-starter mindset – you take initiative, flag risks, and fix issues before they escalate

Comfortable collaborating with external accountants and legal teams globally

Bonus: experience managing finances in Australian and international entities
