About Carpet Call
Carpet Call is Australia’s largest flooring retailer, and we are expanding our IT department. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join us as a Level 1/2 IT Support professional, based at our Loganlea office south of Brisbane. There will also be opportunities to travel interstate as part of this dynamic role.
The Role
As a Level 1/2 IT Support technician, you will work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Customer Service teams, and upper Management. You will receive a company phone and laptop. You will be responsible for providing first- and second-level technical support across our business.
Reporting to the IT Manager you will be working in a collaborative office environment, alongside our online/eCommerce team, inhouse programmers, and other IT support colleagues.
Current Australian driver’s licence is essential, as you will occasionally need to visit store locations and access our state-of-the-art Data Centres. Infrequent interstate travel is also required.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first- and second-level IT support to internal staff.
· Manage tickets through the Helpdesk ticketing system.
· Install, move, and configure equipment and software.
· Conduct troubleshooting and deliver excellent customer service.
· Assist with hardware and desktop support, including MDM.
· Engage with Linux operations when required.
· Support and maintain networking equipment (switches, firewalls, routers).
· Collaborate with team members and contribute to IT-related projects.
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in Level 1/2 IT Support.
· A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Great attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
· Friendly and professional phone manner, with a polished, presentable appearance.
· Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
· Knowledge of desktop and server operating systems, including:
o Windows Server
o Microsoft 365
o Active Directory
o Microsoft Teams
o Azure
o VMWare
· Experience with hardware support and troubleshooting.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
