Beakon, a premier provider of work health, safety, and compliance software solutions, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Software Project Manager to lead our dynamic project management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex, mid-to-large scale software implementation projects for our diverse portfolio of enterprise clients.

This is a critical leadership role within our organisation, ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of not only delivering sophisticated software projects but also mentoring and managing a team of project managers. A background in work health and safety or compliance-related software is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Spearhead the end-to-end delivery of complex software implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 Project Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collaborative success.

Strategic Project Oversight: Take ownership of a portfolio of mid-to-large scale projects, providing strategic direction, mitigating risks, and resolving high-level project escalations.

Client Relationship Management: Serve as a key point of contact for enterprise clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to

Oversee the allocation of resources, including project managers and technical staff, to ensure optimal project flow and delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in delivering complex software projects in a client-facing environment.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, directly managing a team of 2-3 or more project managers.

Proven experience managing mid-to-large scale projects from initiation to completion.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in the work health, safety (WHS), or compliance software industry is highly preferred.

A strong understanding of SaaS implementation and delivery.

Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

A strategic mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture and drive successful outcomes.
