Current UNE Staff: In taking up this appointment, the appointee will need to seek approval from the Head of Cost Centre to be released from their substantive position for the duration of the secondment.
$95,759 to $107,217 per annum (HE07)
Plus 17% employer superannuation
Salary packaging options are available
20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum,

About the role
Working closely with the Head of School, Teaching and Learning Convenor, Academic Manager, academic and professional staff, the Course Manager will have responsibility for a range of activities underpinning academic curriculum management across the UNE Business School at UNE. This includes providing advice on the development of new curriculum items at School level, ensuring compliance of curriculum items with quality assurance mechanisms and liaison with business areas to achieve implementation and publication. The role will build effective working relationships with academic and professional staff across the University, providing sound policy and procedural advice and working collaboratively in the teaching and learning space. The role will engage with students in relation to credit and progression and work proactively to resolve complex enquiries. The role sits within the Curriculum and Academic Management team and reports to the Academic Manager, operating under their general to broad direction. Preference will be given to applicants who can provide an on-campus presence in Armidale for a minimum of 3 days per week, some flexible working arrangements are available.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and a strong ability to interpret course information through a policy and framework lens.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage collaboratively at all levels to achieve successful outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to organise and manage critical and competing priorities to deliver high quality strategic outcomes in a highly dynamic and constantly changing environment.
Experience with utilising multiple systems and functions
A flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving and prioritisation.
A working knowledge of policy and legislation applicable to the Higher Education sector
Demonstrated experience in providing program and progression advice that is accurate and thorough.
A commitment to collaboration and team-based working practices.
