About Us:

We are a respected, family run, mixed farming business looking for great person to join our friendly team. We specialise in high rainfall sheep and cropping systems with cattle trading as a seasonal opportunity. We run 14000 plus merino and composite ewes, crop 800ha and can trade large numbers of cattle annually depending on the season.

The Role:

You will be working with the owners as a livestock operations manager. The role is a hands on role as well as organising full time employees, contractors, shearing teams, and short term staff when required. It will be your role to manage inventories, animal health, tools and supplies etc to achieve efficient work from the team.

Key skills and aptitudes required for the role are:

A sound understanding of animal production systems, especially wool and prime lamb production.

An understanding of animal behaviour, welfare and nutrition.

Good knowledge of pasture performance and management. (Pro-graze course or similar)

Accurate record keeping. We use Agriwebb.

Interest in innovation and personal development.

Your own trained working dogs are essential.

Experience with general farm maintenance.

Drivers licence is essential.

Holbrook is a vibrant rural town in Southern NSW. It has a strong sporting community including football, netball, tennis, cricket and polocrosse/campdrafting clubs and a large gym facility. Schooling includes 2 primary schools and access to multiple senior school options. Holbrook is within 50 min of Albury and Wagga.

Package: A salary package around $100k will be negotiated pending applicant ability, experience, fit to role, housing requirements, vehicles etc.
