An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and reliable chef to support our Head Chef at one of our Kalgoorlie hotels. Mamma Mia's Restaurant at the Star & Garter Hotel requires a person dedicated to providing excellent product and service. They will be efficient, cost and time productive, and work well within a team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities Duties will include:

• Following instructions from Head Chef.
• Ensuring that kitchen production and presentation is of excellent quality at all times.
• Ensuring that all work space is correctly prepared prior to commencement of service.
• Ensuring kitchen and back areas are thoroughly clean at all times.
• Maintaining personal presentation and behaviour to leave a good impression on customers and other staff members.
• Attending the daily kitchen briefings.
• Be in charge of the kitchen staff when Head chef is not rostered on.

Skills & Experience Mandatory skills and experience will include:

• At least 4 years experience
• Experience in a similar role.
• Experience in all areas of the kitchen including; grill / pizza / pasta / desserts preferred.
• Natural ability to work within a team environment.
• Completion of a culinary certificate at an accredited cookery establishment within Australia or overseas or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Strong organisational and leadership skills. excellent written and oral communication skills.
