One of Sydney's top Universities is looking for a Finacial Analyst to join their team on a 12 month initial contract. The Financial Analyst leads stakeholders in capturing detailed requirements, and transforming them into feasible strategies and solutions. They oversee comprehensive documentation, establish open communication channels, and present tailored, innovative solutions that seamlessly fit within the university's infrastructure. In this role they are looking for strong modelling skills along with with extensive PowerBI and Excel experience.
Key Responsibilities and experience Required:
- Drive engagement with diverse stakeholders to deeply understand, analyse, and define business requirements.
- Create, refine, and maintain comprehensive and clear documentation capturing business processes and technical specifications, ensuring they serve as an effective reference for diverse teams.
- Ensure clear and continuous communication with internal stakeholders and teams to achieve aligned outcomes across projects.
- Collaboratively develop and present innovative, feasible solutions tailored to stakeholder needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and alignment with organisational goals.
- Uphold and champion stringent quality assurance standards, ensuring that all solutions, processes, and enhancements meet organisational benchmarks for excellence and reliability.
- Engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussion to address concerns and gather feedback, ensuring alignment with work area goals.
- Manage work area reporting and compliance ensuring accurate information on university systems and adherence to work area requirements.
- Contribute to the development of preliminary budgets and ensure that expenditures align with approved financial plans for the work area.
- Oversee resource management within the work area, balancing financial, personnel, and technology assets to ensure consistent delivery of work area services.
- Lead the team with clarity and direction, ensuring consistent guidance that fosters achievement and proactive problem-solving.
- Manage the performance and development of staff, including performance review, professional development and career management.
- Coordinate and manage risk assessment activities within the work area, prioritising workplace health and safety and ensuring consistent alignment with university guidelines and best practices.
