About the role

This is an opportunity for a Project Manager to join a well-established national civil contractor and lead subdivision and urban infrastructure projects across South East Queensland. This business has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality land development, infrastructure, and roadworks projects. Combining Tier 1 capability with a family-run culture, they’re experiencing sustained growth and are looking for a leader to deliver mid- to large-scale Urban development projects valued $10M–$100M.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects up to $100M in value including developing and reviewing the construction plan and monitor progress
• Manage all aspects of project delivery from site and team setup to handover
• Identify and cost abnormal risks in tender documents.
• Authorise construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules
• Regularly review and monitor project costs
• Identify, assess, control and close out identified project risks and opportunities and report these to senior management.
• Supervise and schedule the activities of Engineers, Supervisors and Administrators to ensure coordination of the construction process.

The successful applicant will have the following experience

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent
• 10+ years post-graduate experience within a Principal Contractor environment
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Suite)
• Demonstrated ability to drive the program to meet project objectives
• Experience in leading and motivating teams safely during project completion
• Ability to develop and implement a budget and forecasts
• Ability to mentor teams including implementation of succession planning as required
• Experience in self-performed construction operations
