The Role
Exciting opportunity to join the Town’s Contracts and Leasing team as the Procurement Coordinator.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing best-practice procurement strategies, supporting business units with contract development and management, and ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and services to meet the strategic and operational needs of the Town.

What we are looking for
The successful candidate’s core values will mirror the Town’s values of Friendly and Helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and be able to demonstrate the following:
Proven experience and knowledge in purchasing, contract administration, and procurement management, ideally within a local government environment.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations, including a sound understanding of local government tendering and procurement processes and compliance requirements under the Local Government Act 1995.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience in preparing reports and correspondence for senior management and Council.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to assess procurement documents for compliance and provide clear recommendations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, contributing positively to a high-performing and busy team setting.
Qualifications or formal training in procurement, contract management, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Eligibility
