About the role

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Guest Service Agent to join our team at Mercure North Melbourne on a casual basis. In this varied role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our guests while assisting with the day-to-day operations of the hotel.

What you'll be doing

Efficiently check guests in and out of the hotel

Opera Cloud Knowledge essential

Hotel/Hospitality Background

Respond to guest enquiries and address any concerns in a professional and timely manner

Assist with handling cash and processing payments

Manage the hotel's reservation system and room allocations

Provide concierge services and recommendations to guests

Collaborate with the wider hotel team to ensure a smooth guest experience

Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation in the hotel lobby and public areas

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a guest service or customer-facing role within the hospitality industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work well under pressure

Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

Proficient with hotel reservation systems and point-of-sale technology
