An exciting opportunity exists for a General Manager to lead the Illawarra Hospital Group. This key executive leadership role and will oversee the effective and efficient management of all services provided on the Wollongong, Shellharbour, Bulli and Coledale sites.

You will possess an innovative mindset and be passionate about healthcare and its impact on the community. Critical to your success will be your strong communication and engagement skills.

The role's primary location will be at in Wollongong Hospital, Loftus Street, with the need for regular travel to other key sites within the Illawarra region.

About this role

The General Manager, Illawarra Hospital Group is responsible for the operational management of all services provided by the Group which includes Wollongong, Shellharbour, Bulli and Coledale Hospitals.

A key function of the role is the oversight of a robust clinical governance and leadership framework requiring strengthening clinical leadership and engagement to ensure the safe delivery of clinical services within the Group.

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service Senior Executive (H/PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $234,837 to $258,940 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

• Extensive proven experience at a senior or executive management level in a substantial and complex organisation engaged in clinical service delivery.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing operational structures and strategic business planning processes to achieve organisational objectives and KPIs within budget.
