About the role
The Student Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role within the Student Engagement and Wellbeing team, supporting a range of programs and initiatives that bring student life at ACPE to life.
Reporting to the Student Connect Manager this position will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to plan and deliver engaging events, extracurricular activities, and programs aimed at building a vibrant, inclusive student community. With students at the core of everything we do, this role requires a motivated, proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces new challenges, and is passionate about helping students grow socially, personally, and professionally.
The primary focus of this role is designing and coordinating extracurricular programs, social activities, and recreational events that encourage connection, foster community, and support holistic student development. The Student Engagement Coordinator will also lead communications around student engagement creating content and monitoring engagement across multiple platforms such as eDMs, social media campaigns, and student surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and deliver student engagement events and activities in collaboration with the Student Representative Council, including Staff vs Student sporting competitions, weekly social events, the Annual Awards Dinner, and fundraising initiatives.
Develop timelines for programs and events to ensure timely execution and review student feedback to create new weekly engagement opportunities.
Assist in the planning and organising of UniSport Nationals teams, accompany students to events, and coordinate additional sporting competitions such as intervarsity gala days.
Liaise with external venues and event staff for bookings and logistics related to student activities and events.
Support the operations of the Student Representative Council and the ACPE Volunteer Program, including the promotion and scheduling of fundraising efforts.
Assist in promoting student support services such as TalkCampus and the ACPE Portal.
Assist in the delivery of student orientation, induct students into gym facilities, and support college events including Orientation Weeks and Open Days.
Assist in the smooth execution of the new student orientation and provide necessary information to incoming students.
Create and manage student facing communications, including email campaigns, social media content (e.g., Instagram), digital signage (TV screens), and weekly college announcements.
Maintain the student lounge area and ensure recreational facilities are in working condition.
Manage orders, distribution, and sales of ACPE merchandise, sporting equipment for UniSport Nationals.
Coordinate awards, student voting processes, and trophies for student programs and college events.
Assist with exam supervision (when required) and provide coverage at the Student Services Desk.
Undertake special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
About you:
Degree in Education, Management, or a related field.
Working with Children Check.
First Aid and CPR certification.
Current NSW Driver’s License (or equivalent).
Essential:
Experience in creating and managing communication campaigns (e.g., emails, social media).
Desired:
Experience in a similar role.
Experience in organising engagement programs and social events.
Background in physical activity, health, or sport.
