About the role
We are seeking a Student Connect Officer to support students throughout their academic journey. Reporting to the Dean and Student Connect and Engagement Manager, you will act as a link between students, academic staff, and support services in supporting student retention and engagement. The role is focused on creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for both new and continuing students, thereby enhancing their overall academic experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain New Students Enrolments (NSE) data ensuring timely reporting.
Monitor attendance records of NSE and Probation Condition students pre-census, including convening pre-census meetings.
Support student enrolment processes, study assistance, timetable, and MyGov queries.
Liaise with students for unit changes and course progression updates on Paradigm.
Provide access support for ACPE systems including updating information on the portal.
Provide administrative support and coordinate appointments and meetings across departments.
Assist the Student Support Coordinator with student retention and probation condition students.
Serve as a point of contact for new and late-enrolling students during onboarding and orientation.
Assist as a point of contact for front desk operations, ensuring all queries are addressed professionally or directed to the appropriate departments.
Assist with the coordination of facilities, events and functions.
About you:
Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
2–3 years in admin or student services (tertiary education preferred).
Current First Aid, CPR, and WWCC.
