About the role:

You will be responsible for providing efficient administrative and clerical support across a broad range of areas contributing to the effective operation of the Economic & Community Development Department.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Taking enquiries from stakeholder groups and community members about the department’s programs and activities.

Supporting the delivery of the department’s activities including assisting with program and meeting setups, invitations, agendas, handouts, and minute taking.

Registering and controlling inward and outward correspondence in the records management and customer requests systems.

Compiling monthly statistics.

About you:

To be successful, you will have previous relevant administrative experience with proven organisational skills, ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines and good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people to ensure delivery of a high level of customer service.

Previous experience within a local government or similar environment, preferably within a community development related area, will be highly regarded.
