The Role
Join our dynamic Community Development team at the Town of Cambridge and help deliver engaging Sport and Recreation programs, services, and events across the community.
Guided by our Strategic Community Plan, you’ll foster strong relationships with both the community and internal stakeholders, ensuring the continued success of the Town’s Sport and Recreation portfolio.

What we are looking for
The successful candidate’s core values will mirror the Town’s values of Friendly and Helpful, Teamwork, Creativity, Integrity, and Respect, and be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience in program and event development, coordination and evaluation with a particular focus on Sport and Recreation.
Demonstrated understanding of Community Development principles, and trends within Sport and Recreation including program funding, sponsorship and evaluation.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and key external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes and shared goals.
Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently to deliver timely outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing reports for broad scope audiences and the facilitation/coordination of group activities.
Formal qualification in a related discipline is highly desirable.
Eligibility
Australian working rights (birth certificate, current passport or current visa).
Current Provide First Aid Certificate (can be obtained through the Town on successful appointment).
