As we grow our food offering across weddings, events, and our popular cellar door, we’re on the lookout for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. You’ll be involved in menu execution, staff leadership, prep and service across weddings, private events, cellar door service, and special seasonal events.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef with planning, prep, and execution of menus for weddings, events, and wine bar service

Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency

Support and mentor junior kitchen staff

Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant working environment (including HACCP standards)

Manage stock levels, assist with ordering and stock control

Step up and lead the kitchen during Head Chef’s absence

About You

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a high-volume or event-focused kitchen

Passion for quality produce, modern Australian cuisine, and seasonal menu design

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, and event evenings

A positive team player with pride in their craft
