The Company:

Our client is a proudly Australian-owned company who have been operating for 55 years. They specialise in lubrication systems, workshop fit-outs, and premium equipment solutions for a range of industries with a strong focus on innovation, quality and customer service. They are seeking a results-driven Workshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of their automotive and workshop fit-out department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and motivate a team of automotive technicians, service advisors, and workshop fit-out staff.
• Schedule workloads and allocate tasks to maximize efficiency.
• Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for team members.
• Liaise with customers and manage expectations.
• Resolve complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies; order as necessary.
• Monitor and control workshop costs and budgets.
• Prepare and submit operational reports, job cards, and timesheets.
• Enforce health and safety regulations across the workshop.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

To be considered for this role you will ideally possess the following:

• Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of workshop operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and drafting software.
• Valid driver’s licence.

On Offer:

Hours: Standard 38-hour week with some flexibility around start time.
Salary: 100K base annual salary but willing to go higher for the right person
Company car, phone and laptop provided. Quarterly Team bonus incentives.
