About the Role

The role will be fulltime, based in Malaga, however, some travelling to remote mine sites may be required from time to time.

Position Description

Position Title: Quality Assurance Assistant

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Malaga, including ad-hoc site travel

Reporting To: Senior Quality Inspector

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in the preparation, development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures under the guidance of the Senior Quality Inspector.

· Perform routine inspections and quality tests on materials and components including profile cut parts, machined components, cast components, and mechanical assemblies.

· Support incoming inspections, rebuild inspections, and final despatch checks to ensure conformance to specified standards.

· Assist in creating and maintaining Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) as required.
Conduct basic non-destructive testing (NDT)

· Help generate quality inspection documentation for workshop and site-based activities.

· Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support Corrective and Preventative Action Reports (CPARs) follow-up.

· Assist with the handling and movement of components to perform required inspections.

· Ensure a high standard of QC compliance and workshop cleanliness is maintained.

· Maintain QC records in internal databases, with oversight from the senior QAQC technician.

About You

· Excellent data capturing skills required and ability to analyse.

· Demonstrated proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometres, vernier callipers, and other dimensional inspection equipment

· Proven experience in inspecting cast components, mechanical assemblies, welding and welding processes in accordance with quality standards.

· Understanding and interpretation of technical drawings and specifications is required.

· Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining quality standards.

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written and be computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).

· Forklift and overhead gantry crane license is desirable but not essential, however, you must be willing to undergo training if provided by the Company.
