Kimberley Manufacturing are northern WA’s leading fabricator of wall frames, roof trusses and pre-fabricated modular structures, based in Broome we offer a dynamic and supportive workplace dedicated to growing our community with innovative and high quality products.

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Officer (safety, quality assurance and LEAN) to join our manufacturing team in Broome WA. This full-time or part time role will oversee our safety and quality assurance systems both in our manufacturing facility and site works through the Kimberley.

What you'll be doing

• Promote improvements in our systems and processes

• Encourage all staff to raise improvement options and to champion this within the business.

• Promote and monitor adoption of safety and quality systems

• Lead the review of safety and quality systems and support structures

• Identify process opportunities for improvement and lead change

• Research into safe work practices and quality processes and translating that into change on the workshop floor.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a change agent.

• Proven experience in safety systems, previous experience in quality assurance an advantage

• Previous experience in LEAN methods

• Excellent computer and communication skills and attention to detail to produce high-quality work

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues

• Previous experience in manufacturing and construction environments

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across management and the entire workforce.

• Identifying operational issues and unpack lessons learned and identify positive improvement actions to be taken
