The Company
For the last 20 years, our client has been a national supplier and manufacturer or products and services within the Mining, Mineral Exploration, Geotechnical and Waterwell Sectors of the drilling industry. With a proven reputation of quality, reliability and service they are seeking an administrator to join their team on a temp to perm basis.
The Role
As a Quality Control Operative, your main responsibilities will be ensuring the inspection, checking and reporting of consumables received in from Suppliers whilst working with the Engineering Department. Our client’s product range includes but is not limited to the following:
Drilling consumables - Exploration, DTH and THH
Drill Bits
Drill pipe
Downhole running gear
The role will be made up of the following responsibilities;
Inspecting threaded drill parts received and ensuring they meet the QA/QC requirements
Using calipers and gauges to measure dimensions
Following procedures and documenting inspection protocols as instructed by the Engineering team
Working alongside the Engineering team to report any issues
Support day to day warehouse operations – handling stock as required
Forklift Operation
Keeping the work spaces well organized and tidy
The Candidate
Candidates who have worked in similar inspection roles within the mining supply industry are high on our list.
Candidates must possess a High-Risk Fork Lift License, with experience in operating Forklifts. In addition, it essential that candidates possess a valid Driver’s license and have impeccable attention to detail.
Essential criteria include;
Possess a High-Risk Fork Lift License
Possess a Valid Driver’s License
Previous experience in a role that required a high level of attention to detail
Be physically fit with the ability to undertake physically demanding tasks
Be able to pass a D&A screen & ongoing regular random testing
Have a positive attitude possessing initiative, intelligence and good organizational skills
Conducts themselves in a highly professional manner at all times
Be reliable, punctual and have a great work ethic
Be safety conscious
Take pride in your work
Have contactable references
Desire ongoing / permanent Work
Working Days & Hours
Monday to Thursday - 7.00am to 5.00pm
Friday - 7:00am to 4.00pm
Remuneration
As mentioned, this is a Temp to Perm role where initially you will be working through Staff-Net on a casual basis, where after 3 to 6 months, our client will potentially be offering permanent employment.
Working on a casual basis through Staff-Net the hourly rate of pay will be between;
$30.00 to $35.00 per hour Flat Rate
+ Super
