We are offering an exciting opportunity for you to join the team at Babalou in the role of Wedding & Sales Event Manager right in the heart of Kingscliff.
You will be joining a well-established team and working alongside our Events Coordinator. The key focus will be the planning and coordination of events - spanning across weddings, corporate events, meetings, and celebrations. The Wedding & Sales Event Manager would be responsible for managing the booking from the enquiry stage, through to the day of the event, working closely with the Events Coordinator to ensure everything is proceeding as planned.

Babalou is a beautiful wedding and events space located above the Kingscliff Beach Hotel with an amazing outlook over the beach and ocean
It boasts a well-established team with a full-time Events Coordinator, Chef, and high performing service team

The Role:
Developing & implementing sales strategies to achieve sales targets
Manage your team to ensure all wedding, corporate and celebration event bookings are addressed in a timely manner and point of contacts for clients are designated accordingly
Coordinating & hosting site inspections at clients designated/ requested times, including follow up with prospective clients, from proposal to contract
Prepare clear and accurate event documents to all departments involved with the event
Provide weekly sales & events reports to Senior Management and conduct weekly meetings with your operational team
Ensure that financial goals are achieved in accordance with the budget
Develop feedback reports and undertake continual market research to understand our positioning and competition
Build strong relationships with your clients
Manage your team and promote a positive culture within the hotel
Show respect and understanding of others
Work closely with all hotel staff involved in the process of running an event, Chefs, Venue Managers, and the Food & Beverage team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
While predominantly Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5pm, flexibility with roster is essential - no 2 days are the same. This may include weekend work, public holidays, depending on our events
About You:
High attention to detail with exceptional organisational and time management skills
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and identify their key needs
Target sales driven with strong business acumen, able to drive sales and come up with new strategies
Adaptable to various situations and ability to make quick decisions and multitask
Proficient in both Microsoft Office and Ivvy bookings system
Passion for delivering unforgettable moments whether it is a wedding, corporate event, or anything in between
Key requirements:
3+ years’ experience working in the wedding and events industry
Proven sales experience, preferably within the wedding or events industry
