Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing and fabrication team. This role is critical in supporting our product development and engineering services across a range of mechanical design and custom fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and implement mechanical systems and components tailored for automotive and commercial workshop use.

Conduct feasibility assessments, technical analysis and design validation.

Prepare detailed drawings, models and specifications using CAD and CAM software.

Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet client requirements and industry regulations.

Supervise and support the prototyping, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Ensure compliance with Australian safety standards and regulatory frameworks.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in mechanical engineering, with proven expertise in industrial fabrication and custom design.

Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Demonstrated experience in applied mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.

Familiarity with the Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.

Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

Chartered status or progress towards CPEng.

Experience with CNC systems or advanced manufacturing techniques.

Previous experience in high-spec, client-facing projects.
