SSA are working with a leading Mechanical Contractor based in Sydney seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team.

Due to continued expansion and growth, our client is seeking an experience Mechanical/MEP Engineer with extensive HVAC & Refrigeration experience on large-scale Commercial and Residential projects.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will:

• Lead and manage HVAC design projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of design and construction activities.
• Conduct critical design reviews and provide value engineering solutions.
• Assist with commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover documentation.
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Attend site and client meetings to resolve design challenges.
• Promote the company to new and existing clients through technical excellence.
• Conduct system calculations, audits, and technical reviews.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and legislation.
• Provide technical input for tenders, including site inspections and budget estimates.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
• Support training and development initiatives across the construction team

Qualifications and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience delivering mechanical design project.
• CPEng/NER registration.
• Experience with leading mechanical design from initiation to completion
