We are looking for an experienced baker to join our team!
You’ll be joining an established bakery with a reputation for delicious products and a strong sustainability ethos.
This is an opportunity to lead and hone your skills in a friendly environment.
We offer a competitive salary and a 4 day working week on a rotating roster.
We have close relationships with our suppliers, sourcing our flour from a variety of independent farmers and millers.
We use predominantly organic and biodynamic ingredients, and we strive to have minimum waste, and maximise sustainability.
We are looking for a hospitality professional who is has the following skills and abilities
A strong understanding of sourdough baking, mixing and hand moulding
Experience with lamination and croissant making
A good understanding and experience with the natural fermentation process
Previous experience working in a relevant role
Motivation to grow and enhance skills
Have a positive and collaborative attitude
Be well organised, self-motivated and have an ability to work independently and within a small team.
Our typical start time is 5 am so access to transport or living locally is necessary.
This role is for a candidate with a minimum of three years baking experience.
Our bakers work across all areas of the kitchen, mixing, oven, shaping and pastry. We are looking for someone who is interested in working in a smaller scale bakery that is connected with their local community, and strives for excellence everyday.
