Bakers Wanted

We are the French Bakehouse. First established in the early 80’s and going on to build a reputation as one of the most respected bakeries in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

We are looking for quality focussed bakers to join our team as we continue to grow.

We have a diverse and talented team combining nearly 100 years of overlapping knowledge from traditional French sources to those taught by some of the most highly regarded bakers and pastry chefs in Australia.

You would be based in Somerville, reporting to our Production Manager and working closely with our other bakers & pastry chefs. Our team will guide you in your role and assist you to grow your skill set and career.

Qualifications required:

· Fully qualified baker

· At least 5 years’ experience in baking

· Very good communication skills

· Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

· Very good hand moulding skills

· ability to produce high quality sourdough breads

· Experience with French breads desirable but not essential

· Highly motivated apprentices would also be considered

Salary range $65k - $75k depending on qualifications and ability
