We are looking for a baker who cares and is a ‘cut above’ to join our small team of men and women from diverse backgrounds.

A Baker who cares about the environment, cares about quality, cares about maintaining positive team-oriented vibes in a well-managed, modern certified organic bakery. A bakery where skill is appreciated and rewarded.

We are looking for someone who :

· Is passionate about baking well-crafted genuine certified organic sourdough bread

· Is inspired to use only the best quality organic ingredients from our cohort of ethical farmers

· Is inspired that every loaf we bake benefits the planet and we the people who want to live healthy and sustainable lives

· Is able help lead a small team of like-minded bakers using the most up to date modern equipment in a purpose-built facility in Torquay

· Is a qualified Baker ideally with 3 to 5 years' experience, preferably in sourdough.

· Is willing to learn from our experienced leadership team and bake with our 43-year-old leaven

· Prefers to work day-time hours in an organized, well managed staff - friendly family-owned bakery

Job Description

Hand molding and managing doughs

Mixing of doughs / operation of mixers

Managing the temperature of rooms and doughs and leavens

Managing the timing of doughs, mixing, flipping, scaling, proving, baking etc

Maintenance of a high standard of quality

Baking completed loaves in our state of the art deck oven

Ensuring a consistent production outcome, in regard to hand molding, baking and mixing.

Teamwork

Completing OHS and cleaning checklists

Reporting to Head Baker
