Are you passionate about shaping the future for young people? Join us as a Youth Engagement Officer at Wodonga TAFE, where you'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies for youth aged 24 and under.
You'll collaborate with a dynamic team, including the Team Leader of Community and Industry Engagement, the Education Pathways Officer, School Engagement team and various departments, to create and expand educational and employment opportunities. As part of our vibrant Community and Industry Engagement Department, you’ll help drive growth and innovation, making a real impact in education and community development. Selected Duties:
Leading the implementation of the Institute’s Youth Engagement Plan and associated strategies and initiatives.
Use Institute data to report on Youth Engagement Plan outcomes, identify barriers, and recommend solutions.
Maintain high level knowledge and understanding of youth issues and trends, along with current policies and strategies both nationally and at a state and local level.
Initiate, pursue and develop community grants, fee for service and government funded skills training opportunities in the youth target markets to support the growth in training activity.
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience

Relevant degree in Social Work/Community Services/Human Services or Education (or a related field) and relevant work experience; or a suitable combination of lesser qualifications and relevant experience in the Community Services sector or related discipline working with young people.
Desirable: Certificate IV in Career Development and be registered with the CICA, CEAV or the CDAA.
