About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the MITS as our Enrolments and Community Engagement Administrator. In this full-time role based in Richmond, VIC, you will play a crucial part in supporting the school's mission of empowering and supporting Indigenous students in their educational journeys.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing the enrolment process for new students, including managing applications, coordinating enrolments and liaising with families
Building and maintaining strong relationships with students' Home Education Communities to promote the MITS opportunity
Organising and facilitating community events and engagement activities to foster a supportive and inclusive school environment
Providing administrative support to the broader operations team, including data management and reporting
Advocating for the needs of Indigenous students and their families, and ensuring an equitable and nurturing school experience
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a similar administrative or community-facing role, preferably within the education sector
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Cultural awareness and sensitivity, with a deep understanding of Indigenous students and their communities
Familiarity with student enrolment processes and community engagement best practices
Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people
Ability to travel extensively to MITS's Home Education Communities
