As a Youth Support Service Caseworker, you’ll work directly with young people at risk of entering the youth justice system, helping them navigate challenges and build positive futures. Through assertive outreach and tailored support, you’ll play a key role in diverting vulnerable youth from crisis and guiding them toward stability, connection, and opportunity.
About the Role
As a Youth Support Service Caseworker, you will:
• Engage with vulnerable young people and their families through assertive outreach
• Deliver case management and brief interventions using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach
• Support young people to identify needs, develop support plans, and access prosocial activities and services
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated, responsive service delivery
Position Details
- Fixed term position until 30 June 2026
- 0.6 FTE working 22.8 hours per week
- $97,614 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or Community Welfare (Diploma level or higher), or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in case management or brief intervention support for vulnerable individuals and families, using the Best Interests Case Management Framework.
- Proven ability to engage and support young people at risk, including those displaying challenging behaviours, through a trauma-informed approach.
- Skilled in conducting needs assessments and risk evaluations to guide planning and intervention strategies for individuals and families.
- Understanding of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and a strong commitment to fostering a child-safe culture and practice.
