About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated full-time individual for a Melbourne metro-based position, (Monday to Friday). Reporting directly to the Business Manager, this role will cover the western and northern areas of Melbourne, with full accountability for net sales and debtors. While you will inherit an established customer base with longstanding relationships, we are looking for someone eager to pursue new business opportunities and cultivate these connections.
The ideal candidate will excel at identifying and closing new opportunities through a consultative selling approach. Your focus will be on selling a diverse range of Award-Winning Australian Smallgoods to Independent Retailers and the HORECA segment (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering). You will effectively manage an existing customer base while prioritizing new business growth, promoting our products to maximize brand exposure, sales volumes within the assigned territory.
A Victorian driver’s license is required, and the company will provide a fully maintained company vehicle, CRM device, and mobile phone for the right candidate.
About You:
You should have at least two years of experience in selling to Independent Retail Supermarkets and the HORECA segment, with a strong network of contacts. Highly organized, you possess excellent time management skills and communicate effectively, fostering collaborative relationships. As a proficient problem-solver, you can address customer issues as they arise. You work well both independently and as part of a team, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are results-oriented with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
A genuine passion for customer service and business development
Team player dedicated to achieving individual and collective goals
Sales experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Food industry experience, particularly in smallgoods, cheese, or grocery, is highly desirable
Retail or customer service experience is a plus
Experience in working towards targets and KPIs
