The Role
As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate financial service support to the works of SVdP, in accordance with the organisation's policies, procedures, and mission.
You will perform various finance-related tasks, including accounts payable and receivable functions, bank reconciliations, and providing support to conferences and members. Your contributions will directly impact the success of SVdP's mission and the assistance we provide to those in need.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Accounts payable and receivable tasks, including data entry, invoice distribution, supplier statement reconciliation, and petty cash reimbursements.
• Processing end-of-month tasks, bank reconciliations, and weekly payment runs in compliance with SVdP policies and procedures.
• Assisting with QDOS financial backend, ensuring effective uploads to Tech1 with minimal errors.
• Provide account support and advice to Conferences and members as needed.
• Ensure all queries and invoices are handled within established timeframes, prioritizing customer service.
• Perform administration tasks, including collation of forms, filing, data entry, and maintaining registers.
This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) role based in South Brisbane.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
• Relevant Tertiary or TAFE Qualification or equivalent experience in Finance and Accounting
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management
• Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
