Australian owned leader in the Construction Industry is seeking an experienced Welder with leadership skills to lead a small team at their Smithfield site.

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations and ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely order fulfillment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting the organisations reputation for reliability and excellence in service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee daily operations including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatch
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stocktakes
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to perform efficiently and safely
• Coordinate with sales and logistics to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
• Manage incoming goods, check for accuracy, and report discrepancies
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve flow
• Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and operated safely
• Cut steel, packaging/bundling steel goods
• Work with the sales team to resolve customer delivery or stock issues

To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:

• Welding background
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Forklift licence (LF) preferred
• Knowledge of the Construction industry advantageous
• Willingness to learn and be hands on
• Understanding of WHS regulations and safe work practices
